Paaralang Bayan
  • Philippine Danish Folkschool                                                                                              A school of grassroots leaders which uses methods from two traditions- Philippine experiences in popular education and Danish folkehøjskole tradition pioneered by Grundtvig. Community-based leaders of people's organizations especially women leaders can study at the folk school. Communication, Negotiation, Filipino Psychology, Gender, Culture, Economics, Politics and Health were studied here and two themes run through the six-week residential course- "Leadership and Empowerment".

  • BIGLEAD (Bicol Grassroots Leaders for Empowerment and Development)                    An organization composed of leader graduates from the six-week course on leadership and empowerment of education for Life Foundation, Inc. In 1998, they were the first leader graduates that launched and run a six-week residential course on leadership. They applied what they learned in negotiation and the importance of dealing with local organizations and offices of local government and agencies associated with it.

  • DANGLE- Pampanga (Development Action for Grassroots Learning)                               A local NGO of Kapampangans in Floridablanca, Pampanga. The members of DANGLE have been activists during the Marcos period. DANGLE also has a project with AWECA, an NGO doing literacy with the Ayta in four settlements in Floridablanca.
  • ESKAN (Eskwelahan Sang Katawhan Negros)                                                             Quidan Kaisahan and Education for Life Foundation, Inc. offer institutional support for the groups of mobile folk trainors. This joint effort together with the mobile folk trainors agreed to establish a local folk school that will address the difficulties experienced by the Education Team in building their communities and those of others. Initially, it was fielded by six staff coming from Quidan Kaisahan, to take care of the administrative and day-to-day resources.

  • PBAA- Mindoro (Paaralang Bayan Alumni Association)                                               PBAA members are active in sustainable agriculture programs. The organization has been running leadership courses based on alternative learning systems in partnership with the local government and TESDA.

  • PBAZ (Paaralang Bayan ng mga Ayta ng Zambales)                                            Established last May 2002 in partnership with LAKAS and ELF. It was formed by the graduates of ELF's Paaralang Bayan. This school which is intended for all Aeta of Zambales, envisions to provide leadership, technical, and enterprise development courses. In 2003, PBAZ was able to conduct General Leadership Course (GLC) and Alternative Learning System (ALS) with the help and guidance from the local leader-educators and ELF staff. PBAZ is also active in providing ALS for the youth and adult who did not finished their formal school.
  • QK (Quidan Kaisahan)                                                                                                     Also called the "Solidarity of the Nameless Ones" is a Negros Occidental-based, non-stock, non-profit corporation that assists the impoverished population of the province, their associations, non-government agencies and local government units. It was organized in 1997 to fulfill an urgent mission; to further empowerment of people's organizations and their active participation in development initiatives.

  • QKDI (Quidam Katilingban Development Institute, Inc.)                                         Quidam Katilingban Development Institute, Inc. is a non-government organization in Negros Occidental that helps in implementing the ELF ILO-IPEC Project "Providing Alternative Learning Systems to Children in the Sugarcane Plantations in Selected Areas of Negros Occidental". This organization is a part of Quidan Kaisahan and it primarily focuses in providing alternative education especially to child laborers.
