E-Net (Civil Society Network for
Educational Reforms)
www.educ-net.org E-Net is a venue for pushing education reforms for
complementing, consolidating and integrating various initiatives
of civil society organizations. E-Net works to connect various
civil society organizations involved in the education sector,
and connect these efforts with government education programs so
that positive changes in policy and practice may be created to
expand civil society influence in effecting positive changes in
education.

LGCNet (Local Governance Citizens'
Network) The Local Governance Citizens' Network (LGCNet) is a mechanism
for the cooperation of autonomous civil society organizations (CSOs)
involved in local governance for the benefit of communities they
serve and their mutual advantage. Members CSOs seek to build
empowered sustainable communities as their contribution to
transforming the Philippines into a progressive country and
enhancing international solidarity.

PARRDS (Partnership for Agrarian reform
and Rural Development Services, Inc.
PARRDS is a coalition with a service center. It was initiated in
March 1994 by five people's organizations, five non-governmental
organizations, and three non-party political formations after
half a year of preparatory consultations. It picks up from the
gains of the disbanded Congress for a People's Agrarian Reform (CPAR)
in advocating a comprehensive agrarian reform. PARRDS integrates
the twin targets of agrarian reform and rural development (ARRD),
and expands and deepens the cooperation of POs, NGOs, and
political formations in pursuing ARRD at the national and local
levels.

Synergeia
www.synergeia.org.ph Synergeia is an organization that aims to transform basic
education in collaboration with local governments, parents and
private sectors. The entry point of Synergeia's programs is the
transformation of the Local School Board into a vehicle for
meaningful community participation. This translates to improving
the financing of education, formulation of the Special Education
Fund (SEF) budget based of need assessments, consultation of
major stakeholders in formulating local education reform
programs and measurement of the results of education governance
through improvement in students' test scores.

Plan Philippines
www.plan-international.org Plan was founded in 1937 by
British journalist John Langdon-Davies and refugee worker Eric Muggeridge. Originally named 'Foster Parents Plan for Children
in Spain', the aim was to provide food, accommodation and
education to children whose lives had been disrupted by the
Spanish Civil War. Today, Plan is one of the world largest
development organisations working in 46 developing countries,
and invested about $341 million on health, education,
livelihood, housing, water and sanitation projects, and
cross-cultural learning. Plan works worldwide to achieve lasting
improvements for children living in poverty in developing
countries.

ILO-IPEC
www.ilo.org Arm
of the International Labour Organization that works
on-the-ground to combat child labour with projects in more than
60 countries. IPEC was launched in 1992 with the overall goal of
the progressive elimination of child labour, which was to be
achieved through strengthening the capacity of countries to deal
with the problem and promoting a worldwide movement to combat
child labour.
